Easton Commons Nature Park

The Easton Commons Nature Park, began in 2008 on a ten acre plot of land on Easton Commons Drive at the north end of the subdivision. Subsequently, the park was expanded to cover 14 acres. The name of the park came about as a result of a naming contest held in 2010. Within the boundaries of the park are more than a mile of walking and jogging trails beautifully landscaped with a variety of flowers and shrubs. Throughout the park are more than 100 native trees of varying types. At the north end, there is a pond where fishing is allowed (Limit is three, please) though swimming and boating is not. Benches are located throughout the park. Centrally located in the park is a large covered gazebo. Dogs are welcomed with their owners and they must be leashed. Owners are expected to clean up after their canine friends. For the safety of park patrons and to maintain the beauty of the park, motorized vehicles are prohibited. Amenities which have either been installed or will soon be installed include two playscapes, picnic tables, and exercise equipment. Though the gates are not locked, the actual operating hours of the park are 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM.  All park users are welcome and are simply asked to treat other patrons; and plant and animal life with respect.
